Miracle is my reaction to
the concept of life and its rejuvenation. It is not enough to understand
chromosomes and genes and cellular structures. There is something greater
and to me overwhelming in its complexity and conversely in its simplicity.
It is life itself.

The
Porch is a very personal work. The
porch is, in fact the porch on my own "duck shack" or duck hunting cabin.
The decoy used as a model was carved by my Great Uncle. The duck call
was made by my Grandfather. The hat belonged to my Father. The shotgun
was given to me in a will by a different Great Uncle. The boots are
mine, however, I prefer to see this as my "roots" piece.
